My name is Jennifer Moss and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am licensed to practice in Virginia and Colorado. I see clients in person and via telehealth in Wheat Ridge, Colorado and via telehealth for those who live in Virginia. I see clients Monday - Friday during regular business hours. My out-of-pocket rate is $150 for a 50-minute session.
I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from The University of Tennessee and my Masters in Social Work from The University of Denver. I spent ten years providing emotional support to clients who were chronically and terminally ill as well as their families. I left that work in 2018 and opened my private practice where I see clients 18+ years old. My years in private practice have given me extensive experience working with clients struggling with CPTSD and childhood trauma in particular, anxiety, chronic illness/pain, and depression.
I completed two years of clinical supervision with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In addition, I have completed two Internal Family Systems (IFS) trainings through PESI and completed a Level 1 IFS training through the IFS Institute in 2021. I currently utilize an IFS certified clinical supervisor and see an IFS therapist. I have also completed training in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. I partner with two psychiatrists for oral, IV, and IM ketamine work. IV and IM ketamine work is done at a clinic in cherry creek.
My approach is very straight forward. I am direct in my communication, casual but professional in my style, and completely comfortable with topics which are considered taboo or simply uncomfortable to talk about. I don't shy away from tough stuff...no matter the topic. I have a tremendous amount of patience which allows my clients to take whatever time they need to feel safe and comfortable sharing hard things. I will not be arriving in therapy with an agenda about how long it should take you to do the work. It takes however long it takes.
I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). IFS is my primary modality, and it provides an opportunity to look inside yourself and better understand how you operate. Why you do the things you do, think the way you think, and how all the parts of you work together. You will learn how to listen to, and learn from, those voices in your head. The ones who tell you what you should be doing, what you should have done, and then tell you how to feel about what you have or have not done. Once we start listening and learning, a depth of understanding will occur that allows for healing of wounds and releasing of inaccurate beliefs about yourself. The work will bring out a confident, compassionate, and strong Self. I believe this is a real possibility for every single person.
