Internal Family Systems aka Parts work

What is IFS?

Have you ever felt like one part of you wants to move forward, but another part holds you back? Maybe you feel confident one moment, then anxious or critical the next. Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy helps make sense of this. IFS understands that we all carry different “parts” inside us—like an inner family. Some parts push you to achieve, some try to protect you from getting hurt, and others carry old wounds. These parts aren’t bad—they’re doing their best. But sometimes, they get stuck in extreme roles that cause stress, conflict, or overwhelm. In IFS therapy, we slow down and get to know these parts with curiosity and compassion. Instead of battling with yourself, you learn how to listen to these parts, ease their burdens, and allow your calm, wise core—your true Self—to take the lead. Many people find that IFS brings lasting relief, greater self-understanding, and a deeper sense of peace.

Ready to explore IFS and see how it can help you find more balance and clarity? Let’s talk.
